The design of this illustration is based on the history of Kerava as a central place for circus, fairground and amusement business, which started in 1888. The male character in the illustration was inspired by Kalle “Tarzan” Nyman, who was once a circus artist and animal trainer, and the bears in the illustration pay homage to the bears of Sirkus Sariola.
